Step 4
Complete the survey by interviewing one classmate. Check (V) the statements that your interviewee agrees with.
1 It took me a long time to choose a major that I was really interested in.
2 My parents put me under much pressure when I wanted to choose the major
Ilike.
3 I hesitated about whether to choose a science major or liberal arts major
4 I was confused and tried to seek advice from my friends and classmates
5 I tried to find out more about the program before making a decision.
6 Now I still ask myself if I made the right decision on the major I finally picked up.
7 I kind of regret choosing my major because I find I don't have passion for it.
8 I'm not passionate about my major but don't know what would suit me better.
9 I'm thinking about changing my major but worry it will postpone my
graduation.
110 I wonder if my major will benefit me in achieving my life goals
Work in groups and share the result of your survey with others to see what
statements in the survey get more checks. Then choose three that get the most checks.Based on the group findings, write a short report of about 5-6 sentences.
In the report, first summarize the survey and then give your opinions about the survey result, You may comment on the three statements that had the most checks and provide some advice or suggestions.
Share your report with your group members.
You may either read out your own report or switch with another classmate and read out theirs. In this way, you can learn something from each other. If time allows, give feedback on each other's reports in terms of content and language |
